On her 2,000 acre cattle ranch with extensive conservation easements, the owner wanted a master plan for a ranch complex and landscape. Desiring buildings and a landscape in harmony with both the beautiful site and the principles of conservation, the owner commited to restoring the ecology of the ranch.

As elements of our master plan for the ranch we designed the ranch house and its interior, a barn with an apartment, outbuildings, and a reintroduced prairie. Reflecting the spare majesty of the Big Horn foothills, the shingle house fits unobtrusively into the Bear Creek Draw.
